And you need to craft the right SOAP requests. I ssuggest you just use openwsman from linux - or look at its code to understand how to re-implement it. You need basic authentication. Do you know/have possibly a link/info on how the communication [http] is really done?
I opened WinRM on my windows box and can use it from PowerShell.
I tried a "wget (post soap)" on my linux machine, but I get
always "401 Authorization failed".

I am looking to understand why, then I could fix it.
